Wherever possible we use the manufacturers’ sole units and complete all repairs by hand. We have a track record of being able to repair 99% of all footwear sent in for repair.

Traditional leather, plastic, lightweight and approach shoes can all be resoled to restore their original performance.. After resoling, the new materials will require a degree of bedding-in and it is advisable to break them in steadily before prolonged use.

We Repair

What kind of repairs can we do?

Leather Dress Shoes

Got a pair of walking boots that are perfectly broken in but now the soles are wearing thin or lacking grip when the going gets tough? A resole can bring them back to their former glory for many more miles to come. First, the old sole is carefully removed, preserving the upper part of the shoe. Then, a brand new sole, chosen to match the style and function of your shoe, is meticulously stitched or glued into place. We use top-quality materials and time-tested techniques to ensure a long-lasting and comfortable fit that makes your shoes feel brand new again.

High Heels

Extend the lifespan of your trusted walking boots with our professional heel and toe patch repair service. Firstly we thoroughly clean the area to ensure optimal adhesion. Subsequently, a high-performance, flexible patch material is strategically applied to the damaged toe area using adhesives specifically formulated for outdoor footwear. The repair is then meticulously finished to create a seamless and aesthetically pleasing result, ensuring the structural integrity and weather resistance of your boots for future expeditions.

Trail Runners

Give your feet the support they deserve with our footbed replacement service for walking boots. Our experienced technicians will carefully remove the worn-out footbed, ensuring no debris or glue residue remains. They’ll then precisely fit a brand new, high-quality footbed specifically designed for walking boots. This replacement footbed will provide optimal arch support, cushioning, and moisture management, keeping your feet comfortable and protected on every adventure.

FAQ

How long does a typical repair take?

We always have a lead time before we can start the repair itself. The duration of a repair itself can vary based on the complexity of the work required. Simple repairs like heel replacements may take a few days, whereas more intricate restorations could take longer. We aim to complete all repairs promptly without compromising on quality. If you need your shoes repaired quickly, consider our express service.

My shoes are not being manufactured any more, can you still repair them?

Absolutely! Although the exact parts for your footwear may no longer be available for your shoes, we are time-served, skilled craftspeople. We have decades of experience adapting and fitting soles and other components to all manner of unusual and unique footwear.

How much do repairs usually cost?

We have standard pricing detailed on this page. If you don’t see the repair you need feel free to call in with your footwear or send them to us and ask us for a quote.

Can you match the original colour and material of my shoes during a repair?

We strive to match the original materials and colours as closely as possible, utilising our extensive selection of quality materials. However, exact matches are subject to availability.

Is it worth repairing my shoes, or should I just buy new ones?

In many cases, repairing your shoes can be more cost-effective and environmentally friendly than purchasing new ones. High-quality shoes are designed to be repairable and can often be restored to a like-new condition or even better.

If, on the other hand, we believe your shoes are beyond repair or cannot be repaired to a suitable quality, we’ll tell you immediately and without charge.

Do you offer any guarantee on repairs?

Yes, we stand by the quality of our workmanship and materials. All repairs come with a satisfaction guarantee, covering any faults in the repair work for a specified period.

Can you repair shoes that were not originally purchased in the UK?

Absolutely. We repair shoes from all over the world, regardless of where they were originally bought. Our expertise encompasses a wide range of styles and constructions.

How can I extend the life of my shoes after repair?

We recommend regular maintenance, including cleaning, conditioning, and protecting your shoes according to their material. Avoid wearing the same pair every day to allow them to air out, and consider using shoe trees to maintain their shape.

Do you also offer modifications or customisations?

Yes, we can make modifications for fit or comfort, such as stretching, padding, or orthopaedic adjustments. Customisation options, such as dyeing or adding embellishments, are also available.

How should I prepare my shoes for repair?

Please clean your shoes to the best of your ability before bringing them in. If there are specific issues you’d like us to address, make a note of these so we can ensure your needs are fully met.
